Winter vacation

Sledding or snowtubing, romping in the snow and having a snowball fight, tracking and feeding game, building snowmen or igloos, drawing angels in the freshly fallen white - our winter has many wonderful sides. You don't have to drive eight to ten hours to the Alps or Dolomites for a really great ski holiday. One to two hours by car to the Hochsauerland are enough.

Winter in the Hasenkammer

Directly on our farm you will find a rolled sledding slope as well as rental sleds and snowtubes. You can also join the Hasenkammer cross-country ski trail directly at our farm and explore the snow-covered winter landscape with the cross-country skiers. Snowshoes for a hike through the winter wonderland can be rented from the Medebach Tourist Information. And skiing? You can do it perfectly in the direct neighbourhood in one of the largest skiing areas in Germany.

Winter Sports Arena Sauerland

In the Wintersport Arena Sauerland, which offers the greatest skiing pleasure north of the Alps. Get to know the family ski area on Medebach's Schlossberg and over 100 runs in the neighbouring winter sports strongholds of Winterberg and Willingen. All perfectly prepared as soon as the temperatures drop below -2 °C and the finest snow can be produced from pure water. In past years, this meant 85 to 120 days of skiing between mid-December and mid-March - with or without Frau Holles' help.

For beginners

Various ski schools are recommended for learning. Some of them even have special offers for little ski bunnies from about 4 years - with specially trained DSV ski instructors, conveyor belts, clowns and lots of fun and games.

Cross country skiing and more

Friends of Nordic skiing are also well served during a holiday in the Sauerland. Up to 500 km of cross-country trails are prepared with the appropriate natural snow conditions. By the way, you can enter a circular trail of about 8 km directly from our farm.
